Otley Camera Club

The Club

The Club was estabished in 1945 and was originally called the Otley and District Photographic Society. We meet at Prince Henrys Grammar School, Otley on Thursday evenings at 7-30 p.m. from September to May. Whether you are a novice or an expert you will find like minded people to share your interest, including many female members. Why not try us for a few evenings, there will be no pressure to join and you can be sure of a warm welcome.

Exhibition Dinner 2008

This year the club visited the Westbourne Spice Indian restaurant for its annual dinner and prize giving. The food was excellent, as was the company ! Our thanks to Stan for making the arrangements. For a list of results please click the link to the left.

The 2008 Exhibition

In previous years the club has held a 4 day annual exhibition at the Civic Centre, however due to plans to renovate the Civic Centre we have had to seek out another location for this year annual exhibition. We are currently looking at the possibility of showing our exhibition entries at the Court House Project in early September, please check back for further details.

Thursday Photographic Evenings

So far during the Summer Recess we have visited Lindley Woods to photograph the bluebells, Armscliffe Crags, Brimham Rocks and Otley Chevin. If you have any suggestions for areas of local interest which you'd recommend for an evening of photography why not drop us a line.

Thursday 12th June

Another oppourtunity to visit Brimham Rocks and try to get some fantastic sunset photographs. As the sky explodes with colour the rocks glow red with vibrant colour. Or at least thats the plan - It'll probably rain and we'll once again have to retire to the pub (not all bad then !). Meet at Brimham rocks Car Park between 7:30 and 8:00 pm
